2025 Call for board members!

We’re seeking rockstar leaders to help us move BRPM forward!
Do you (or does someone you know) have a passion for musical‬ expression in all forms? Are you a fierce advocate for gender justice? Do you have any of the following‬ skills and experience? If so, we need you!‬

  • ‭Grantwriting/fundraising strategy‬

  • ‭Volunteer recruitment‬

  • ‭Youth and/or adult programming‬

  • ‭Operations/budget management‬

  • ‭Communications/marketing/social media‬

  • ‭Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging‬

  • ‭‬‭Education/BPS connections‬

  • City of Boston/local government connections‬

  • Community partnerships‬

  • ‭Music business and/or production‬

  • ‭Event planning‬

  • Human resources‬

The BRPM Board is a group of dedicated volunteers who will be running the organization for the‬ foreseeable future. This means that members are responsible for all aspects of BRPM's operations,‬ including managing finances and budget, fundraising and grantwriting, planning and helping run sessions,‬ creating newsletters and social media posts, and updating the strategic vision for the organization.‬

Joining our Board at this crucial time is an opportunity to have a positive impact on BRPM’s direction and future. A dynamic 2025 Board will enable us to continue fulfilling our mission to empower girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals through music education and performance.‭

TIME COMMITMENT‬
‬All initial Board terms last two years, with the option to renew one year at a time.‬

‭ Board members are expected to meet monthly, for four 2-hour quarterly Board meetings each year plus 1-hour‬‭ meetings during other months. Some Board members serve as elected officers (Chair or Co-chair, Clerk,‬ Treasurer) and may also choose to lead or participate in subcommittees and other initiatives.‬ We estimate total Board-related activities to range between 8–12 hours per month.

‭‬SELECTION PROCESS

  • October–November 2024: Applications accepted and reviewed‬

  • ‭November–December 2024: Interviews conducted and Board members selected‬

  • ‭January 1, 2025: New Board member terms begin!‬
